Sparacino, Minor get historic RBIs
5/6/2009by Ed Johnson

Veteran Bob Sparacino joined the elit 300 RBI circle on 4/15 against the Bell Plaza Bums. Bob is now 6th on the alltime Bugbuster list for RBI's, which is remarkable since Bob has been the leadoff or number two hitter for most of his career.  Bob has his sites set on Jim Wismann at 320 RBI for the 5th spot.  The number 1 spot is beyond anyone's reach, as Chuck Chapa leads with an incredible 811 RBI. Chapa has no competition as he is well ahead of a fading Ed Johnson, 2nd with 442 RBI.

Bill Minor joined Bob as a climber on the alltime list a week later. Billy drove in his 250th career run in a Bugbuster loss to Comedy Sportz. Billy is within striking distance of a semi-retired John Hughes, only 16 RBIs ahead. Better watch out, Hugo!

Interesting note: 9 of the top 10 Bugbuster RBI men are still active on the 2009 team. And the door is always open for Big Louie to rejoin the Bugs!
