There were many highlights in last nights 18-2 victory over the Bell Plaza Bums.Highlights included John Youth Garzas nifty 4 hitter, Big Dan Rubertes Grand Slam, and Harold Sorias adept handling of the 17 man roster (everyone got into the game!) But the big story was future Hall-Of- Famer Chuck Chapa, and his relentless assault on the record books.
Chapa, who owns almost every significant lifetime Bugbuster mark, has his eyes set on John Hugo Hughes record of 103 Walks. Last night Chapa became the second Bugbuster in history to reach the coveted 100 mark. Pandemonium ensued as the Chapa marched the 90 feet to history.
When asked to comment on the feat, Manager Soria replied Chuck has 100 walks? Let me check Yeah, he has 100 now. as he happily munched on hischeesy bread, while savoring the even sweeter taste of victory.
